Good to know

Pick the side of Ikebukuro Station first. On the West Exit side are Hotel Metropolitan (3 minutes from the West Exit), hotel hisoca (2 minutes), Tokyu Stay and Super Hotel Nishiguchi. On the north side, Mimaru, Super Hotel Lohas and Toyoko Inn are 4 to 5 minutes away. On the east side, Sunshine City Prince Hotel is joined to Sunshine City, and the two KOKO HOTELs and Hotel Resol are 6 to 8 minutes from the station and close to Higashi-Ikebukuro Station.

For airport buses, two hotels have a stop at the door: Hotel Metropolitan's page says the limousine bus stops right outside, and Sunshine City Prince Hotel's stop is in front of its main entrance. The operator's Haneda route (adult ¥1,400) also stops at Ikebukuro Station West Exit and at Sunshine City Bus Terminal; its Narita route (adult ¥3,600) stops at the Prince and Metropolitan hotels, and a separate Narita shuttle (adult ¥2,300) goes to the West Exit. Hotels do not publish how loud a street is at night, so the table lists what they do state about the late hours instead: front desks, baths and check-in machines.

Before you book: Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro closes the whole building after check-out on 28 October 2026 for its annual inspection and reopens on 29 October. The two former Hotel Wing International hotels now trade as KOKO HOTEL Ikebukuro and KOKO HOTEL Ikebukuro East, about a minute apart on foot, and the East hotel's page warns guests to go to the right one. For the whole city, see the Tokyo-wide guide under In depth.
