Good to know
Ikebukuro's ramen shops sit close to the east exit. Ichiran's Station Front store is 2 minutes away and open 24 hours, Mutekiya and Bankara's main store are 3 minutes away, and Mutekiya is listed to 4:00. Tonchin and Taizo serve tsukemen as well as ramen, and Taizo's head store is on the west side.
For a roof over your head, four buildings gather many restaurants. LUMINE Ikebukuro lists restaurants on 8F and 9F, and the Tobu SPICE floors are on 11F to 15F. Sunshine City has restaurants in Alpa and ALTA and on 58F and 59F of Sunshine 60, and Seibu's main store has food floors on B1F and B2F. Restaurant hours at LUMINE and Alpa are listed as 11:00–22:00, with some shops different. Tobu's own pages disagree on hours, so check its notice on the day.
Access differs by building. Tobu is directly connected to the west exit and Seibu to the east exit, LUMINE is beside the JR south gate, and Hareza is 4 minutes from east exit 32. Sunshine City is about 8 minutes from Exit 35, or about 3 minutes by underground passage from Higashi-Ikebukuro Station. Mutekiya is closed from 31 December to 3 January, and Ichiran may refuse entry before last order when crowded.
