Good to know

Shibuya food comes in two kinds. At street level there are small bars and counters: the yakitori bars of Nonbei Yokocho, the regional stalls of Shibuya Yokocho and a 24-hour Ichiran. Above and inside the station buildings there are restaurant floors in Scramble Square, Hikarie, Tokyu Plaza, PARCO and Mark City, most of them open until 23:00 and reachable without going outside.

For a late meal, Ichiran is open 24 hours, and the restaurant floors of Scramble Square (12F and 13F), Hikarie (6F, 7F, 8F, 11F) and Tokyu Plaza (6F and 7F) run 11:00–23:00. Shops in the same buildings close earlier: Scramble Square shops at 21:00, Tokyu Plaza shopping floors at 20:00, and Tokyu Food Show at 21:00. For the other end of the day, Tokyu Food Show sells deli food, bento and sweets from 10:00.

Most of the alley bars have no single opening-hours page, so Nonbei Yokocho is listed without hours; go to each bar's own page or signboard. Hours at the restaurants inside the buildings are set shop by shop, and last order is earlier than closing time at several of them. Check the shop's page on the day.

What you can eat, how late, and how far from the station
