Good to know

Ginza's long-running single-subject restaurants are close together. Kyubey (sushi), Ten-ichi (tempura), Ginza Bairin (tonkatsu) and Ginza Toyoda (kaiseki) are each within a few minutes' walk of Ginza or Shimbashi Station, and Shiseido Parlour and Ginza Kimuraya cover Western-style (yoshoku) dishes. Most of them serve lunch and dinner, and two of them, Ten-ichi and Ginza Bairin, state that they do not close in the afternoon.

Closed days and booking rules differ. Kyubey is closed on Mondays and Sundays, Ginza Toyoda on Mondays, and Shiseido Parlour on Mondays unless it is a public holiday. Ginza Bairin and the Shiseido Parlour Salon de Café take no reservations. For the late evening, Beer Hall Lion serves until 22:00 (22:30 on Fridays, Saturdays and the day before a holiday), and the GINZA SIX and ITOCIA restaurant floors are listed as open 11:00–23:00.

For many choices under one roof, use Matsuya Ginza (its 8F restaurants, and a B1F food floor linked to Ginza Station), GINZA SIX or Yurakucho ITOCIA. Yurakucho is a different part of the walk: ITOCIA is about 1 minute from the JR Yurakucho Station Central Exit, and Hibiya OKUROJI, the lane of restaurants under the railway viaduct, is about 6 minutes from Yurakucho and Shimbashi.
