Good to know
Pick the base by the lift you will use. The Hakuba Village Tourism Commission sorts lodging into areas named after the ski areas and districts: Happo, Iwatake, Goryu, Sanosaka, Minekata, Highland and the station area. Wadano and Echoland, names many booking sites use, are not among its areas; the hotels below follow the commission's grouping.
Happo has the Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal, where the Alpico express bus from Nagano Station and the highway bus from Busta Shinjuku stop. The express bus also stops at Iwatake, at Goryu (drop-off only from Nagano) and at Hakuba Station on the JR Oito Line. Several hotels below run a pickup from Hakuba Station.

Where are Wadano and Echoland?
They are names booking sites and agents use for parts of Hakuba. The Hakuba Village Tourism Commission does not use them: its lodging areas are Happo, Iwatake, Goryu, Sanosaka, Minekata, Highland and the station area.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Eight hotels on this list give check-in 15:00 and check-out 10:00 in the tourism commission listings; Petit Hotel Arumu checks in from 14:00. Hakuba Tokyu Hotel's times were not found on its pages checked here.
How do I get from Nagano Station or Tokyo to my hotel?
The Alpico express bus from Nagano Station East Exit stops at Goryu (drop-off only), Hakuba Station, the Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal, Iwatake and Tsugaike Kogen; no reservation is needed on the spring-to-autumn timetable, to 30 November 2026. From Tokyo, the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano plus this bus is about 2 hours 30 minutes riding time.
Can I get around Hakuba without a car?
The village tourism commission lists ski-area shuttles for Goryu, Hakuba47, Happo-one and Iwatake, the Hakuba–Happo–Tsugaike route bus, an on-demand shared ride called fureAI, taxis and Uber. Hakuba Tokyu Hotel publishes a 2026 summer shuttle timetable to Happo, Iwatake, Tsugaike and Goryu.
