Mt Fuji and Kawaguchiko: Where to Eat, What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Kawaguchiko Station, where the Fujikyu Line ends, is the base for most of this area: loop buses leave from it for the ropeway, the north-shore sights, Lake Saiko and the lava caves, and K's House Mt. Fuji and Fuji Lake Hotel are within a 10 to 13 minute walk. Chureito Pagoda, Fuji-Q Highland and the Yoshida udon shops are on the Fujiyoshida stretch of the same line.

Dates to plan around this autumn: the Panoramic Ropeway fare rises on 1 November and it closes 7–18 December, the Fuji Subaru Line toll road is open 9:00–17:00 from 16 November, and the Yoshida udon shops serve lunch only and close one or two days a week.
