Shinagawa is a Tokaido Shinkansen station, and the fastest Keikyu trains reach Haneda Airport Terminal 3 in 11 minutes and Terminal 1·2 in 14. Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa is about 2 minutes from the Takanawa exit, and Shinagawa Prince Hotel, Keikyu EX Hotel Takanawa and Toyoko Inn Takanawa-guchi are 2–3 minutes from it.

Takanawa Gateway Station connects directly to MoN Takanawa and NEWoMan TAKANAWA, and Sengakuji, with the graves of the 47 ronin, is 5 minutes from its north gate. To the south, Shinagawa-juku was the first post town on the Tokaido from Nihonbashi; Shinagawa Shrine is a minute from Shin-Bamba Station.
