- About 8 minutes on foot from Kinugawa-onsen Station; dial buses also run from the station to the hotels.
Good to know
Nikko's hotels sit in four places. The station area and the streets by Shinkyo Bridge put the shrines within a short bus ride or walk. Lake Chuzenji is up the mountain, about 50 minutes by bus from the stations, so the two lake hotels here use shuttle buses. Kinugawa Onsen is a separate hot spring town on the Tobu Kinugawa Line, about 2 hours from Asakusa by Spacia limited express.
Check-in is 15:00 at most of the hotels here that state it (14:00 at Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel, 15:00–18:00 at Nikko Park Lodge). Check-out is 10:00 at the lodge, Hoshinoyado and Asaya, 11:00 at the two Kanaya hotels in Nikko and at Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel, and 12:00 at the Ritz-Carlton. Kinugawa Grand Hotel Yume no Toki does not state its times on the pages checked. Rates are not listed because they change daily.
If you arrive by train and want the shortest transfer, Nikko Park Lodge Tobu Station is 1 minute from Tobu-Nikko Station and 3 minutes from JR Nikko. Nikko Kanaya Hotel is not a hot spring hotel and Nikko Park Lodge lists none on the pages checked; the other six have hot springs, and the Ritz-Carlton uses water from Yumoto Onsen.

Hoshinoyado is 2 minutes from Shinkyo Bridge and about 15 minutes from Toshogu. Nikko Kanaya Hotel is 3 minutes from the Shinkyo bus stop.
On Lake Chuzenji
Both are on the lake and run shuttle buses; the Ritz-Carlton's suites look over Lake Chuzenji and Mount Nantai, and Chuzenji Kanaya Hotel has an open-air hot spring bath, Sorafuro.

From the station, Kinugawa Kanaya is about 3 minutes on foot, Yume no Toki about 8 minutes, and Asaya about 10 minutes by dial bus.
