Pick the base by what you will do first. Minato Mirai and Sakuragicho put the Minatomirai Line and JR Sakuragicho Station at the hotel door: the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu is directly connected to Minatomirai Station and the New Otani Inn Yokohama Premium to JR Sakuragicho Station. Near Yokohama Station are the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashiguchi (2 minutes) and the Tokyu REI Hotel (about 10 minutes from the East Exit). Around Kannai, Yamashita and Chinatown, Hotel New Grand is about 1 minute from Motomachi-Chukagai Station. For a Shinkansen connection, the Shin-Yokohama Prince Hotel is about 2 minutes from Shin-Yokohama Station.
For airports: the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu lists limousine buses to Haneda (Keikyu Bus) and Narita (Keihin Kyuko Bus), and a reservation-based limousine bus runs from Haneda's international terminal to Yamashita-koen-mae, by Hotel New Grand, in about 39 minutes (¥1,000 for adults).
Two hotels people may look for are closed. The Yokohama Royal Park Hotel in the Landmark Tower has been closed since 31 March 2025 for renovation and is planned to reopen in fiscal 2028 in partnership with Marriott International. Hotel Associa Shin-Yokohama has been closed since 16 July 2026 and is to reopen in December 2026 as Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Yokohama Station, with opening and booking dates to be announced.

Minato Mirai and Sakuragicho are on the Minatomirai Line and JR Negishi Line; Yokohama Station is the interchange for JR, Tokyu, Keikyu and Sotetsu lines; Kannai, Yamashita and Chinatown are served by Motomachi-Chukagai and Bashamichi stations; Shin-Yokohama has the Tokaido Shinkansen.
