Good to know

Pick the base by how much you want to walk. Arima is small but steep. The inns on the station side are 3 to 10 minutes on foot from Kobe Electric Railway Arima Onsen Station; the ones up the hillside run free pick-ups, and Arima Grand Hotel advises its shuttle because of the climb.

Several of these inns pick guests up when you call on arrival, and the pick-ups end in the evening (Gekkoen at 19:00, Arima Grand Hotel at 21:00); the station-side inns are within walking distance at any hour. Kin no Yu, Gin no Yu and the old streets are in the centre, a short walk from the town-centre inns.

Rates change by date and plan, so they are not listed here. Check-in and check-out times are given where the inn states them.
