Good to know
For an early flight or a late arrival, stay at the airport or a few minutes from it: 9h nine hours is directly connected to Terminal 2, and Hotel Nikko Narita and Narita Tobu Hotel Airport run free shuttle buses of about 5–15 minutes. If you want the temple and the town, stay near Narita Station: Naritasan Shinshoji is about 10 minutes on foot from JR or Keisei Narita Station, and the station is about 8 minutes by train from Airport Terminal 2·3 Station.
In between, ANA Crowne Plaza Narita, Narita Gateway Hotel and HOTEL MYSTAYS Premier Narita sit between the airport and the town. All three run free shuttles, and Narita Gateway Hotel's also serves Narita Station, partly via AEON Mall Narita. The hotels at the stations (Hotel Welco, Richmond Hotel, APA Hotel and Narita U-City Hotel) are 1 to 10 minutes' walk from a station, and three of them advertise a free airport bus.
Terminal 3 has no direct hotel bus at the hotels that say so (Nikko, Tobu, ANA Crowne Plaza): they ask guests to go to Terminal 2 first, by the free connecting bus or on foot. Shuttle timetables change; each hotel's page is the final word.
