Akihabara: Where to Eat, What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Plan Akihabara as a walk around the Electric Town side of the station. Mandarake Complex gives 4 minutes on foot from the JR Electric Town Exit, and Yodobashi-Akiba is directly connected to the station. On Sundays the main road, Chuo-dori, is closed to vehicles: 13:00–17:00 from October to March and 13:00–18:00 from April to September, and it can be cancelled in bad weather.

Eating is either on the station side, such as the 8th-floor restaurant floor of Yodobashi Akiba, or a few minutes into Kanda, where Kanda Yabusoba, Kanda Matsuya and Isegen are 1 to 2 minutes from Awajicho Station. For a hotel, pick the station first: Akihabara Station is served by the JR Yamanote, Keihin-Tohoku and Sobu lines, the Hibiya Line and the Tsukuba Express.
