Yufuin: What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Yufuin's town sights start at JR Yufuin Station: Yunotsubo Kaido runs about 800 m from Shirataki Bridge, Lake Kinrin can be wrapped in morning mist on cold mornings from autumn through winter, and the communal baths cost ¥200–¥300. The station building is closed for repairs until around winter 2026; trains use a temporary building beside it.

The pages below split the town the way a trip does: what to do, and which of three bases to sleep in: near the station, by Yunotsubo Kaido and Lake Kinrin, or on the hillsides facing Mt. Yufu.
