Kobe: Where to Eat, What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Kobe's centre is Sannomiya, with Motomachi and Nankinmachi Chinatown to the west, Kitano and Ikuta Shrine to the north and the Meriken Park waterfront to the south. Shin-Kobe, where the Shinkansen stops, is one subway stop from Sannomiya. The Port Tower deck is open until 23:00, and Kobe beef restaurants near Sannomiya take last orders at 21:00.

Mt. Rokko, Mt. Maya, the Nada sake museums and Arima Onsen each need a cable car, a bus or a train from the centre; Arima Onsen is about 30 minutes from Shin-Kobe. Start with the page that matches your plan, then check each place's own page for dates and closed days.
