Hiroshima: Where to Eat, What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

The Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, the Peace Memorial Museum and the National Peace Memorial Hall are all in or beside one park in central Hiroshima, about 20 minutes by tram line 2 or 6 from JR Hiroshima Station. The park and the Dome are free and open at all times. Miyajima, the Yamato Museum in Kure and Okunoshima are the day trips.

Hiroshima's four local dishes each have a district: okonomiyaki at Okonomi-mura in Shintenchi and at two stations, tsukemen at Bakudan-ya, oysters by the Peace Park and at huts in season, and anago-meshi at Miyajimaguchi. The hotels on these pages sit in four bases: Hiroshima Station, Hatchobori and Kamiyacho, the Peace Park area and Ujina.
