A 1.7 km strip built on the former Odakyu Line track land between Higashi-Kitazawa and Setagaya-Daita stations, passing through Shimokitazawa. reload, BONUS TRACK, MUSTARD HOTEL, the Akichi open space, the (tefu) lounge complex and an onsen ryokan are all on it.

A row of small shops and eateries, many with the owner’s home attached, around a plaza that holds markets and other events. It is on the Setagaya-Daita section of Shimokita Senrogai.

A five-storey complex at the south-west gate with a lounge, grocery, coffee roastery, shared office and a mini theatre, Shimokita-Ekimae-Cinema. The NANSEI PLUS buildings around it add food shops, a lawn, an art gallery and a garden shop toward Setagaya-Daita.

6Honda Theater and the Honda Theater Group stages本多劇場グループ（本多劇場・ザ・スズナリ ほか）

One group runs several small theatres around the station, among them Honda Theater, The Suzunari, Ekimae Gekijo, OFF OFF Theater and Geki Shogekijo. Listings and ticket details on the group’s site are in Japanese and are set per production.

An onsen ryokan on Shimokita Senrogai whose open-air bath uses hot-spring water carried from a source at Lake Ashi in Hakone. Guests not staying the night can book a day plan of bathing and a light meal online, by 15:00 two days before.

9Hanegi Park羽根木公園
City park with a plum grove · Daita, toward Umegaoka
The largest park in the Kitazawa area, with about 670 plum trees of some 60 varieties. The Setagaya Plum Festival runs from early February to early March; in 2026 it ran 7 February–1 March.

11Shimokitazawa Tengu Festival下北沢天狗まつり
Setsubun street festival · Shimokitazawa Ichibangai
A three-day Setsubun festival on the Ichibangai shopping street; on the second day tengu and mountain priests parade and throw lucky beans. The 94th festival ran 30 January–1 February 2026; 2027 dates were not posted when checked. The same street holds an Awa Odori dance festival in August.

Good to know
Most of Shimokitazawa is on foot from one station, served by the Odakyu Line and the Keio Inokashira Line. The newer part is Shimokita Senrogai, a 1.7 km strip on the old Odakyu track land from Higashi-Kitazawa to Setagaya-Daita: reload toward Higashi-Kitazawa, the Akichi open space east of the station, (tefu) lounge at the south-west gate, and BONUS TRACK and Yuen Bettei Daita toward Setagaya-Daita.
The older draws are music and stage. disk union faces Kitazawa Town Hall, about 4 minutes from the station, and one group runs Honda Theater, The Suzunari and several smaller stages near the east exit. Their listings are in Japanese and tickets are sold per production.
