Kichijoji: What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Kichijoji Station is on the JR Chuo Line and the Keio Inokashira Line. Its north exit opens onto Harmonica Yokocho and the covered Sun Road and Daiya-gai arcades; from the Koen-guchi (south) exit, Inokashira Park is about 5 minutes on foot, with rental boats on the pond and a zoo that stops selling tickets at 16:00 and closes on Mondays. The Ghibli Museum, on the park's Mitaka side, takes advance tickets only.

There are only two hotels on the stay list in Kichijoji itself: the Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel, about 1 minute from the south exit, and the Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu, about 8 minutes from the north exit. The list adds six hotels in Shinjuku, where the JR Chuo Line comes in.
