Chatan: What to Do and Where to Stay

Most of Chatan's sights and hotels are in Mihama: American Village, Depot Island and its boardwalk, and Sunset Beach, where swimming runs 9:00–17:00 until 30 November 2026. From Naha Airport, route bus 120 runs to Kuwae for ¥900, and three airport buses run to Chatan Gateway for ¥1,000 each.

The nine hotels on the where-to-stay page sit in four bases: American Village and Sunset Beach, Depot Island, around the La'gent Chatan-mae limousine stop, and the Miyagi coast. Those that give a drive time put Naha Airport about 35 to 45 minutes away by car.
