Good to know
For the simplest stay, base yourself at Nagasaki Station. JR Kyushu Hotel Nagasaki is on the second floor of the Amu Plaza main building, Hotel New Nagasaki is adjacent to the station, Hotel Wing Port is about 3 minutes away and the others on the list are 7 to 8 minutes on foot. Trams for every sight leave from the stop in front, and the airport bus takes about 35 to 45 minutes depending on the stop.
The other bases put you in a different part of the tram network. Richmond Hotel at Shianbashi is 1 minute from its stop; Hotel JAL City and Dormy Inn are 3 and 2 minutes from Shinchi Chinatown stop. Hotel Belleview is at Odohato stop by Dejima; Hotel Monterey and ANA Crowne Plaza Gloverhill are at the Oura end near Glover Garden. Two hotels are at the Peace Park side, and three are on the slope of Mt Inasa, two with free shuttles from the station.
Check-in is between 14:00 and 16:00 and check-out between 10:00 and 12:00 on the pages checked; Hotel Saint Hill lists a midnight curfew. Rates move daily and are not listed here. Where a hotel’s page gives no check-in time, none is printed.
