Kinosaki Onsen: What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Kinosaki Onsen's public bathhouses line the willow-lined Otani River and the streets near the station: ¥800 a bath, ¥1,500 for a one-day ticket, and free for guests staying at a ryokan in town. Satonoyu is closed for rebuilding and Kounoyu reopens on 28 October 2026. Above the town, the ropeway climbs Mt. Taishi in about 7 minutes, with a stop at Onsen-ji.

The pages below cover what to do, with each bath's closing day, and where to stay in three bases: near the station, on the Otani River in the town centre, or by shuttle. A free shared shuttle meets afternoon limited express trains, and the Limited Express Kinosaki and Konotori run from Kyoto and Osaka.
