Good to know
Most hotels at Lake Toya are in Toyako Onsen, the hot-spring town where the fireworks, the cruise pier and the Toyako Onsen bus terminal are. The Windsor is the exception: it is in Shimizu, about 40 minutes from JR Toya Station by its own shuttle.
Getting there without a car: Donan Bus runs from JR Toya Station to Toyako Onsen in about 20–25 minutes, and direct from Sapporo Ekimae Bus Terminal in about 2 hours 40 minutes (reservation required). Several hotels run their own buses: Nonokaze and Kohantei from JR Sapporo Station and New Chitose Airport, Manseikaku from Sapporo Station North Exit (¥1,100 one way), and Yutorelo and Toya Kanko from Toya Station. All of them must be booked ahead.

Most hotels are in Toyako Onsen, the hot-spring town with the Toyako Onsen bus terminal, the cruise pier and the fireworks. The Windsor is in Shimizu, away from the town, and is reached by its own shuttle from JR Toya Station (about 40 minutes).
