Two hotel listings put the airport about 5 minutes from JR Hakata Station by subway, and six hotels below are between 2 and 10 minutes’ walk from the station. Hotel Okura Fukuoka in Nakasu is listed at about 10 minutes from the airport by subway, and Hotel Monterey La Soeur gives about 12 minutes from the airport to Tenjin.

Tenjin and Daimyo suit a stay built around Nishitetsu: Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel is directly connected to Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station and the Tenjin Expressway Bus Terminal, and Dazaifu is about 30 minutes from that station. Nakasu puts you at Nakasu-Kawabata Station, about 7 minutes’ walk along Kawabata Shopping Street from Canal City. Seaside Momochi hotels are 10 to 18 minutes’ walk from the nearest subway station, so the hotels there lean on the bus, a weekend shuttle or the car.
