Matsuyama: Where to Eat, What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Matsuyama is two places on one tram line. Okaido, in the centre, is about 10 minutes from JR Matsuyama Station and about 5 minutes on foot from the castle ropeway. Dogo Onsen, about 25 minutes from the station, has the three public bathhouses; Dogo Onsen Honkan has been fully open since July 2024. Local food runs from tai-meshi in two styles to Botchan dango and mikan juice.

The pages below split the city the way a trip does: where to eat, what to do, and whether to sleep in Dogo Onsen or the city centre.
