Seven of the places on these pages are within a tram ride or a walk of Toyama Station, and a tram ride costs ¥240. The train to Tateyama, the start of the Alpine Route, leaves from Dentetsu-Toyama and takes about 65 minutes.

The mountains are seasonal: the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route runs from 15 April to 30 November 2026.
