Good to know

Ebisu itself is small. Its one big sight is Yebisu Garden Place, on the old Yebisu beer brewery site and linked to the station by the covered Skywalk, with the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum inside. Most of this list is in the neighbours you can walk to: the Yamatane Museum in Hiroo is about 10 minutes from Ebisu Station, Hillside Terrace in Daikanyama is 10 minutes, and Hillside Terrace is in turn 7 minutes from Naka-Meguro Station and the Meguro River.

Plan around Mondays. The photography museum, the Yamatane Museum and the Former Asakura Family Residence all close on Mondays. The Asakura house closes at 16:30 from November to February. Daikanyama T-Site is open the latest: its bookshop runs until 22:00.

Two things not on this list: the beer museum at Garden Place and the Garden Place events calendar. On 22 October 2026 the Sapporo Beer and Yebisu Garden Place websites were down for maintenance (Garden Place says until 23 October), so their hours and tour prices could not be checked.

Ebisu, Hiroo, Daikanyama or Naka-Meguro

Walking times are each place's own figures. Some give them from Ebisu Station and some only from their nearest station, so both are shown. Adult prices; children's prices are on the cards above.

Hillside Terrace in Daikanyama is 10 minutes on foot from Ebisu Station by its own figures. Daikanyama T-Site gives about 10 minutes by taxi from JR Ebisu Station, or 5 minutes on foot from Daikanyama Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line.

Can I walk from Ebisu to Naka-Meguro and the Meguro River?

Hillside Terrace is 10 minutes from Ebisu Station and 7 minutes from Naka-Meguro Station, so you can walk through Daikanyama. Meguro City's 3.1 km walking course runs from Naka-Meguro along the river to Saigoyama Park and Ikejiri-Ohashi in about 60 minutes.

Which places close on Mondays?

Is the Yebisu beer museum open, and how much is the tour?

Yebisu Garden Place's operator lists a beer museum on the site, but on 22 October 2026 the Sapporo Beer and Garden Place websites were down for maintenance, so hours and tour prices are not listed here. Check the Sapporo Beer website before you go.
