Miyagi: What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

The Miyagi pages start with Sendai. Its central sights, including Zuihoden, the Sendai Castle ruins, Osaki Hachimangu and Sendai Mediatheque, are stops on the Loople Sendai loop bus from Sendai Station. Matsushima is about 40 minutes by the JR Senseki Line, and Yamadera and the Akiu hot spring area are further day trips.

Tanabata is in August and the Pageant of Starlight on Jozenji-dori runs 4–27 December 2026.

Places in Miyagi
