Rusutsu: What to Do and Where to Stay

Food · Things to do · Where to stay

Rusutsu Resort is a ski area on three peaks with 4 gondolas, 14 lifts and 37 courses; the 2026–27 regular season runs 19 December 2026 – 14 March 2027, with an early season planned from 28 November and night skiing 16:00–20:00. In summer the resort runs an amusement park, the Yotei Gondola and four 18-hole golf courses; the 2026 summer season ended on 18 October.

For a room, the choice inside Rusutsu is the resort's own hotels (the Resort Hotel & Convention and The Vale Rusutsu) or The Westin Rusutsu Resort, linked by a monorail of about 5 minutes. All three are stops on the resort's buses from New Chitose Airport (120 min) and Sapporo. Lake Toya and Niseko are each about 30 minutes away by car.
